Independent Living

Every effort is made to avoid an 'institutional' atmosphere. The cottages are treated as the occupants private homes where they can come and go as they please, and have their own family and friends visit them at will.

"From scenes like these old Scotia’s grandeur springs,"
Robert Burns
Cottages
The majority of the cottages are for couples, with a lesser number for single occupancy. There are no occupational or geographic limits.
Each cottage has an Alert System to call for help if required.
Gardens
If desired by a cottager, a small garden plot is made available for personal use and those who are able and willing help the groundsman to keep the gardens in order.
Greenhouses and workshops are provided
for cottagers use, along with a sitting area to enjoy during the warmer weather.
